Inlaid Tray with Chevron Pattern by Don Shoemaker for Senal

A rosewood serving tray by Don Shoemaker for his company Señal in the 1960s. The surface of the tray is has a repeating chevron marquetry pattern in a gradient of local Mexican hardwoods. The narrow ends of the rectangle are slightly scooped to form a handle, and the rosewood frame has an inlay of lighter wood that runs the length of each handle.
