Small Danish Sofa or Settee by John Vedel Rieper for Anker Petersen
A Danish compact sofa with unbroken curves designed by John Vedel-Rieper and produced by Anker Petersen in the 1950s. The oyster-gray velvet upholstery is hand-stitched tight to the frame, emphasizing the design’s simple elegance. The seat is a single cushion with a welted front seam. Four tapered dowel legs angle out from the upholstered frame in contrasting teak. Retains Danish Furniture Control label.
Condition: Excellent restored condition; reupholstered with new foam cushions. Legs have been refinished and hand-oiled.
