Unfinished Stoneware Phoenix Planter by David Cressey for Architectural Pottery
Designed by David Cressey in 1963 as part of the Pro/Artisan stoneware collection for Architectural Pottery, the slipcast Phoenix planter has a bowl shape with an allover geometric relief. This example in unfinished stoneware has a subtle color variation.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition; a single clean drainage hole has been drilled. Some hard water buildup can be observed at the foot of the planter.
Dimensions: The Phoenix-2 is the taller Phoenix variant, with diameter and height both measuring 23”
