Drexel Declaration Highboy Dresser by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall
A tall, walnut highboy dresser and vanity from Drexel’s popular Declaration collection designed by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall. This example has a walnut case holding five subdivided drawers with original white ceramic knobs on brass spacers and two cabinets with push-latch closures. The right hand side of the cabinet hold a small shelf and a drawer with extending vanity mirror. The left hand side has three shallow drawers. The back of the piece is stamped with the collection name, wood type and model no. 801-430-2, and retains a small sticker reading "North American." The case sits atop four tapered legs of solid walnut.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition; professionally cleaned and polished. Knobs not original to the design had previously been added to the cabinet doors, then removed and filled in; leaving a slight cosmetic flaw.
Dimension: 47.5" height x 42" width x 20" depth.
