Set of Eight PK-1 Dining Chairs by Poul Kjaerholm
A set of eight dining chairs designed by Poul Kjærholm for E. Kold Christensen in 1955. Originally, the series PK-1, -2, and -3 referenced a complete line of steel-frame chairs with the seat material indicated by the model number (1 is done in wicker, 2 in leather, and 3 in flag halyard) though they are now all marketed under the blanket model PK-1. The chair frame itself is slight, of bent tubular steel in a black powder-coated finish, with small steel discs to keep the rope in place. The chairs’ splayed legs are fitted with plastic disc glides to protect flooring.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition; recently powder-coated. Seats have been re-roped with new linen cord and leg caps have been replaced.
Dimensions: 18.5” width x 17” depth x 28” height; seat height is 16”
