Queen-Size Teak Bed Frame with Floating Nightstands by Hans Wegner for Getama
A 1960s platform bed by Hans Wegner for Getama. The wide frame has slab-style head and footboards, with a floating nightstand mounted on either side of the headboard. Six tapered dowel legs support the frame. The slender teak base conceals twin metal frames with two rows of wooden slats supporting the mattress. The frame fits a US Queen or European or Japanese King mattress (not included). Nightstands have a single drawer above a small storage well, and are fitted with a top panel of smoked glass.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition; professionally cleaned and oiled.
Dimensions: The bed has an overall footprint measuring 99” wide x 81.75” long. The headboard is 29.75” tall and the floating nightstands are 15.75” wide x 13” deep. The frame for the mattress is 10.25” off the ground and has an interior width of 66.25” and a length of 78.75”. Width at the foot is 67.5”
