A low game table with four matching chairs designed in 1955 by Frank Lloyd Wright for Heritage Henredon. The line, dubbed “Taliesin” after Wright’s Wisconsin estate, combined essential geometric forms - circle, triangle, hexagon - to create an exhaustive suite of living, dining, and bedroom pieces. The game table has a circular tabletop that opens to accommodate one insert leaf, sitting on an X-shaped base whose beveled edges are decorated with the Taliesin signature: an engraved Greek key motif. The same pattern graces the front legs of the matching chairs, and is engraved in the copper band around the table’s edge. Each chair has an elongated octagonal backrest, its shape accentuated by the welted seams of the upholstered headrest. Retains manufacturer’s label beneath tabletop.

Condition: Excellent restored condition; professionally refinished and reupholstered.

Dimensions: {table} The table is 54” in diameter and 24.5” tall, with a clearance of 23.5”. There is a single insert leaf, 12” wide for a full extension of 64”. The chairs measure 20.5” wide by 23.25” deep by 28” tall with a seat height of 14.5”.
