Oak Desk with Integrated Shelf and Ebonized Legs by Hartmut Lohmeyer
German modernist desk designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer in the 1960s and produced by Wilkhahn. This two-tone example is made of red oak, with ebonized legs. An ideal student desk or home office piece, the unique design features and angled shelf at the outer edge of the writing space. The end pieces of the tabletop extend outward to function as bookends for the shelf. The rounded legs kick out at an angle and are joined by three steel support bars in black enamel.
Condition: Excellent restored condition; professionally refinished.
Dimensions: 40.75” width x 30.25’ overall depth x 28” height. The writing surface measures 40.75” x 21.5” and the under-table clearance is 24.5”.
