Pace Collection Desk with Tubular Frame and Glass Top
A custom-made desk by Leon Rosen for Pace Collection was designed to work in concert with the “Tucroma” series (a Guido Faleschini line manufactured in Italy by i4 Mariani, of which Pace was the sole US retailer). Two drawer stacks in bleached oak are suspended in curved brackets of tubular stainless steel. The brackets extend above the drawers to support a floating glass writing surface with rounded edges. Both drawer stacks have notched pulls on the inside edge. The right-hand stack has a shallow pencil drawer and two deeper drawers, each fitted with two dividers, with three placement options. The locking left-hand stack has a pencil drawer and a file drawer, with an optional metal divider for small files. The two pencil drawers retain their Pace paper labels. The disc feet are height-adjustable for uneven flooring.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with all original fittings and key.
Dimensions: The desk is 72” long x 36” deep x 30” tall. Each drawer stack is 18.75” wide. The glass is ¾” thick and the frame tubing has a 1” diameter.
