Rosewood Omega Desk-Dining Table by Hans Eichenberger for Hausmann + Hausmann
A long rosewood table with a utilitarian minimalism designed by Hans Eichenberger was originally marketed as a “desk-dining table” but could also be used as a conference table. The wooden slab-style table sits atop a trestle base in thick, tubular chromed steel with adjustable disc feet to ensure stability on flooring. This Swiss-designed piece was originally manufactured locally in Zurich by Hausmann + Hausmann, but production appears to have been moved to Finland where the distributor, Stending, had strong manufacturing partnerships. Retains label reading “Original Design - Stendig - Made in Finland.”
Condition: Excellent restored condition; tabletop has been professionally refinished. Original chrome base has no pitting or oxidization.
Dimensions: 96” length x 40” width x 29.5” height
CITES Notice: Due to stringent regulations on the export of rosewood products enacted in 2017 this piece is unavailable for international shipment.
