1990s Postmodern Desk or Table Lamp by Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs
A postmodern iteration of the classic two-pillar banker’s lamp from lighting designer Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs. Designed in 1990, this piece has a triangular shade in putty-gray enameled aluminum, supported by two columns on a flat base. Contrasting accents — round column bases, decorative square nuts, and round finials — are finished in golden ochre enamel. The underside of the base is covered in green felt to protect table or desk surface and retains the original Kovacs and Sonneman labels.
Condition: Excellent original condition; professionally cleaned.
Dimensions: The lamp has an overall footprint measuring 18” wide x 6.75” deep x 16.75” tall. The rectangular base is 11.75” wide and 4” deep.
