Adjustable stool by American Optical Corp. These stools were given as promotional items to opticians who used American Optical lenses in the glasses they prescribed to patients. It has been restored, with the metal polished and a newly upholstered leather seat and back

Marked [American Optical Corp] on underside of seat, and [AO] logo on base stem.
