Angelo Mangiarotti Double Sided Marble Vase for Knoll
Double sided marble object by Angelo Mangiarotti for Knoll, Italy, c.1960s. The gray marble sculptural object features openings on either side, offering multiple functions; as a vase, a pedestal stand for a candle or sculpture, or simply as a stand alone decorative object. The varying shades of gray polished marble are accented by beautiful gold and charcoal veining that wrap throughout the body of the vessel.
Mangiarotti designed this collection of marble ashtrays, vases, and bowls for Knoll, at the same time he designed the “Eros” marble table collection for Skipper that is most synonymous with his name.

Good vintage condition; professionally cleaned. Small chips can be observed on the rim of the opening at the narrow end. No cracks.
