Bent Andersen Rosewood and Leather Armchair for Christensen & Larsen
Designed in 1960 by Bent Andersen for Danish manufacturer Christensen & Larsen, this captain chair has a distinctive frame with high, flat arms that widens into a sculpted backrest, encased in patinated black leather. The wide seat is upholstered in matching black leather. Turned rosewood legs taper towards the feet and armrests. Where the back legs meet the frame, the delicate joinery is stylistically exposed.
24.25” width x 20” depth x 27” height; seat height is 17” and arm height is 27”.
Excellent vintage condition: rosewood has been refinished and hand-oiled. Original leather upholstery has some patina and signs of wear, in accordance with age and use.
