Leland Swennes Unique Bronze and Walnut Coffee Table
A dedicated high-school art teacher, Lee Swennes remained committed to his studio practice throughout his life. Most of his known work use in walnut as its main material, imbuing his pieces with a feeling of richness. This surfboard shaped coffee table lived with Swennes in his home for 50 years until his death in 2018. A perfectly aged solid walnut top and hand-detailed bronze springform legs that make us think of skis, make this studio piece truly unique. Walnut and hammered bronze. Marked 1964.
