Don Jennings California Modern Studio Pottery Jar with Lid
Don Jennings, a prominent local ceramicist based in Orange County, California, worked as an instructor and artist throughout the 1960s and 1970s. This example is a wheel-thrown ceramic lidded jar with a painted leaf pattern in high-gloss glaze - a variegated gray-green field with chocolate brown brushwork.
A band of unglazed, exposed stoneware forms a wide border at the mouth of the jar. Signed.
