David Marshall Diseño Candlesticks
A pair of mismatched “Sevilla” candlesticks by David Marshall. An English designer and artist living in Spain, Marshall has made a name for himself with these sand-cast, mixed metal designs in brass and aluminum since founding his studio in the late 1960s. The imprecision of the process lends itself to these irregularly melded accessories. The well of each candlestick takes a narrow European taper. Leather has been applied to the bottom of each piece to protect table surfaces, stamped with the David Marshall logo.
Condition: Excellent original condition. Irregularities in the metal surface are inherent in the sand casting process and should be viewed as enhancements to this design.
Dimensions: Candlestick bases are 4” wide x 3” deep; the smaller candle is 8.5” tall and the larger is 11” tall.
