Don Shoemaker Bookends in Solid Cocobolo for Señal
A pair of solid wood bookends by Mexican-American designer Don Shoemaker for his company, Señal. Rendered in highly figured cocobolo wood, a species of local tropical wood similar to rosewood, the bookends showcase a dynamic grain pattern and the natural beauty of the wood’s irregularities. This set is ringed on the outer edge by a band of contrasting golden sapwood. Retains manufacturer’s label on underside reading, “Señal S.A. Hecho en México.”
We have a second pair of bookends available with more sapwood detail.
Each bookend measures 8” deep x 6.75” tall x 3.5” wide.
Excellent vintage condition; cleaned and polished.
