Early Model Walter Lamb Lounge Chair

A 1940s Walter Lamb lounge chair predating his partnership with Brown Jordan, this piece has an angled backrest bisecting two rounded runner arms. The patinated frame in tubular bronze is strung with cotton-nylon sail cord, woven to form a seat and backrest. The upper corners of the backrest terminate in two bronze finials, characteristic of his early designs.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition; bronze carries an age-appropriate patina, sail cord has been replaced according to original specifications.
Dimensions: 23” width x 34” depth x 31.25” height; seat height is 17, seat depth is 23”, and arm height is 23”.
