Fluted Porcelain Vase by Freidl Holzer-Kjellberg for Arabia of Finland
A wide-mouth vase by Austrian-Finnish ceramicist Freidl Holzer-Kjellberg for Arabia of Finland. Created using the traditional Chinese “rice grain” technique, the porcelain has small incisions made in an allover floral pattern that is then filled with a translucent glaze. The result is a paper-thin vessel with fetching, layered transparency.
This example has a slightly fluted edge and a nearly-square mouth with rounded corners.
Signed on foot, “Arabia FHK Made in Finland.”
6.125” width x 6” depth x 6.75” height.
Excellent vintage condition.
