Gilbert Rohde Chrome Coat Stand
An elegant, early modernist coat rack designed by Gilbert Rohde and produced by Ohio-based chrome furniture specialists, Troy Sunshade, in the 1930s. This example of the Model #137 coat tree has a central tubular chrome frame with four brackets at staggered heights at the top of the pole. It sits atop a circular polished chrome base.
