Horst Brüning for Alfred Kill Bar Cart

$4,000.00

Bar cart by Horst Bruning for Kill International, Germany, c.1960s This rare piece is made of chromed steel and laminate and sits on top of casters. The top tier consists of two extendable leaves giving a 60" surface area, and are supported by the handles. The lower laminate shelf adds an extra level of storage space. The patinated leather-wrapped handles are an elegant touch to this otherwise utilitarian piece.

Horst Bruning was best known for his use of minimalism and functionality in his designs. He worked closely with Alfred Kill whose company, Kill International, produced this bar cart and other notable pieces. Bruning's 6910 Sofa was awarded the “Best of the Best” design prize at the IMM Cologne in 2008, 41 years after its inception.

Alfred Kill International is mostly known for their long lasting collaboration with Danish design duo Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm.
