Always interesting and never boring, here we present to you Don Shoemaker’s rosewood detailed serving tray for his company Señal in the 1960s. Shoemaker is known for the marquetry in his tray’s- I don’t think we’ve ever had two of the same come in, and we’ve had the pleasure of restoring quite a few. The surface of this tray has rectangular strips of varying mexican hardwood veneers coming together to form 4 pyramids, with the grain of each running in differing directions and whose points connect in the center. The ends of the tray have a curved handle integrated into its design, making it effortless to carry snacks and drinks to your waiting guests. Please inquire for a full list of Don Shoemaker products at DEN Los Angeles.
