Jens Risom Lounge Chair
Lounge chair by Jens Risom for Knoll, c. late 1940s. This 1943 design was Risom's first design for Knoll, where he had been brought on as design director. Because of the scarcity of materials during WWII, the original webbing that went over the maple frame came from discarded parachute straps. This chair's original webbing has been replaced by new leather straps and are finished with bronze nail heads.
Marked with [Knoll - 601 Madison Ave.] label. This was the location of Knoll's New York showroom in the late 1940s.

Excellent restored conditioned. Frame has been professionally refinished with new leather straps.
