La Mamma Up 5 powder blue bouclé lounge chair by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia, c.2000s, Italy. The curvaceous shape, was inspired by the silhouette of ancient fertility goddesses. It's name the "Up" lounge chair is due to its inner Polyurethane foam, that "popped up" from its original packaging. This material was considered innovative during its original run in 1969.
