Leather “Maralunga” Chair by Vico Magistretti for Cassina
Designed in 1973, the Maralunga collection by Vico Magistretti for Cassina features a backrest of unique comfort and adjustability. The wire structure - the result of a happy accident during the prototyping process - embedded in the folding leather cushions allows them to be positioned according to the sitter’s comfort. Wide leather armrests fold over the side of the piece, echoing the gesture of the headrest. The chair sits on two rounded wooden runners. We have an additional matching sofa and loveseat available from this collection.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Professionally cleaned; leather is patinated and signs of gentle wear can be observed on the seat and arms.
Dimensions: The chair measures 40” wide by 32” deep by 27” high when folded down. At its highest extreme, the headrest is 40” tall. Seat height is 16” and arm height is 21”.
