Massimo & Lella Vignelli "Kono" Coffee Table for Casigliani
The iconic Kono Table by husband and wife design duo Massimo and Lella Vignelli for Casigliani, Italy, c.1970s. The table is a playful exploration of shape and form. A beautifully patinated copper cone and a piece of rectangular black Nero Marquina marble support a thick glass top that gives a visual of this stunning sculptural piece.
Although the Vignelli’s industrial designs are iconic pieces now (furniture for Knoll, housewares for Heller and Sasaki), they are most well known for their graphic design work. They designed the iconic New York City subway system map, as well as the existing logos for Bloomingdales, American Airlines, Ford Motors, and JC Penney. They also created graphics for Knoll to accompany their furniture designs.
There are two options for glass top, 36" x 48" x 1/2" or 40" x 40" x 3/4"
40” width x 40” depth x 14.75 “height.
Excellent vintage condition; professionally cleaned and polished.
