Lounge Chair with Cane Seat by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig
A 1958 design by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig, this refined lounge chair has a slight wingback design and delicately curved details. Petal shaped armrests swoop upwards into a rounded armrest with finely shaped joinery. Set into the walnut-stained beech frame, a steel frame has been wrapped in woven cane to form the seat of the chair. The basket weave of the seat gives the chair an airy transparency, with brass hardware and herringbone flourishes at each finial rounding out this sophisticated chair.
Condition: Excellent restored condition; frame has been professionally refinished and new cane woven to original specifications.
Dimensions: 26” width x 29” depth x 30.5” height; seat height is 14” and arm height is 23”
