Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli Modular Seating System
“Sistema 61” modular seating system by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli, Italy, c.1970s. The sectional features seven seating blocks, eight back/armrests, and one corner piece, all upholstered in an amazing blue plaid linen. The set also includes six white side table pieces, one of which was originally meant to be an ashtray. The modular pieces are all linked together and secured by a proprietary chrome component, that hooks underneath each cushion attaching them to one another. The layout designs are endless! With twenty-two total pieces, there is so much fun and variation to be had.
Retains the original Castelli Industries Inc label.
