Petal Collection Coffee Table by Richard Schultz for Knoll
Richard Schultz’s 1960s design for a series of tables was intended as a pairing for the Harry Bertoia wire seating group. Produced by Knoll, the table has a flexible design inspired by the Queen Anne’s Lace flower, with a metal star base supporting the redwood segments of the tabletop. The powder-coated, white base has eight legs clustered around its central column, which extends upward into eight sets of branches supporting each petal of the top. Retains Knoll paper label with 575 Madison Avenue address, dating the production of this table to 1960-1961.
