Salvaged Architectural Element
When I come across pieces like this I always find myself imagining where it originated, what its initial purpose was. Here, see crude cutting marks are visible, indicating it was freed from a larger piece of iron, a beam perhaps. This offcuts lines, curvature and patina make for a striking piece, as architectural salvage often does. Sitting 4.75” highland 4.5” wide we can see a multitude of uses for this: an artful doorstop, shelf accent piece, coffee table embellishment or even a paperweight.
4.5” width x 4.25” depth x 4.75” height
Good vintage condition, with age appropriate patina.
