Scanform-Edition “Sirocco” Lounge Chair by Arne Norell
A 'Sirocco' safari chair designed by Arne Norell in 1966 and produced by Scanform in Colombia, a company licensed to manufacture the Sirocco chair for export to the US. This example features a solid rosewood frame strapped together by caramel-colored leather slings with brass fittings. A removable tufted leather cushion sits on the lower sling. Originally designed for "knock down" construction, the chair can ship flat if necessary. Retains Scanform stamp on back leg, “Made in Colombia - Exported by Scanform Itda. Medellin, Colombia”
Condition: Excellent restored condition. The frame has been cleaned and polished by hand and the leather upholstery has been redone according to original specifications.
