This solid bronze mortar and pestle features a deep mortar and heavily weighted pestle. The mortar has a tulip shaped opening and two peg handles on each side of its body. The piece has incised details around the top and bottom of the vessel. The pestle has a handle to grip and widens towards the bottom of the shaft to allow for grinding of your herbs and spices.
