The hinged lid is decorated with an elegant, flowing organic design meticulously applied using Heintz’s celebrated sterling silver inlay technique. The stylized pattern captures the essence of the Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts aesthetics, mimicking natural ripples or botanical lines.
The underside displays the manufacturer's hallmarks. The HAMS diamond logo, the production catalog number 4085, and the iconic patent text: "STERLING ON BRONZE PAT. AUG. 27. 12", indicating the historic 1912 solderless-bonding patent pioneered by Otto Heintz.
