A modernist backgammon set by US-born, Mexico-based designer Don Shoemaker for his company Señal. This portable set includes the game board, which folds up into a carrying case, checkers, rolling dice, doubling dice and leather cups. Made from local hardwood trees, the points of the game board are formed by marquetry inlays. A removable rosewood handle slides into the grooves of the closed game board and fastens with a pin to secure the carrying case.
