Large fire poker for Saarinen Swanson Group by J. Robert Swanson, Pipsan Swanson Saarinen and Eliel Saarinen, c.1940s, USA. Pipsan, part of the famous Saarinen, created this piece alongside her husband Robert Swanson under her father, Eliel Saarinen's company. The poker has a simplistic design with a long handle, ribbed at the top and two prong poker. The brass has patinated in accordance with their age and use.
